PAYiCyS FORTINET GLOBAL BOOTCAMP IN NETWORKING FUNDAMENTALS

We’re launching a Fortinet Global Networking Fundamentals Bootcamp, commencing on June 3rd, 2024, in Eastern Standard Time (EST). This Bootcamp will offer the Networking Fundamentals course, which currently runs online as a self-paced 5-hour course without certification. However, for this special session, one of Fortinet’s two instructors will also deliver the course modules live in a 2-hour weekly session format over 9 weeks, including Q&A sessions. Each student will need to complete the 5-hour online course ahead of the live session. The online version is made up of mostly 30-minute modules.

Individuals who enrol in the Bootcamp are expected to commit to the full duration of the program, as this reserves a seat and limits availability for others interested.

The Networking Fundamentals course serves as an excellent foundation for those looking to enter the field of cybersecurity, particularly for members without a technical background. There are 50 seats available on a first-come, first-served basis.

We suggest a pathway that begins with the Fortinet Certified Fundamentals core course – Introduction to the Threat Landscape, followed by one elective depending on individual goals. Nevertheless, starting with the Fortinet Networking Fundamentals provides an excellent base for those aspiring towards technical roles or seeking a solid foundation in cybersecurity.

Throughout the Bootcamp, participants will delve into essential data communication principles and the basic functions of computer networking. Designed as an entry point for individuals new to the data networking environment, the course caters to those interested in pursuing careers in IT, computer networking and infrastructure, or cybersecurity. By covering fundamental networking concepts and terminology, students can then progress to explore more advanced topics relevant to these career paths.
